A new sending domain has no reputation. Send at volume on day one and the filters treat you as a stranger who arrived shouting. Warm-up fixes that by building a history of normal-looking activity before the real campaigns start.
What the mechanism actually does
- ✓Sends to real, live mailboxes rather than simulating traffic
- ✓Opens the messages, which is a signal filters weigh
- ✓Replies to them, which is a stronger signal than an open
- ✓Pulls a message out of the spam folder when it lands there, which is the strongest signal of all
- ✓Ramps the daily volume gradually instead of jumping to full send
- ✓Runs on infrastructure with SPF, DKIM and DMARC already configured
Do you still need an external warm-up tool?
If you send through Meser10, no. Tools like Lemwarm, Warmy, Mailreach and Instantly exist because most sending platforms do not include warm-up, so senders bolt on a separate monthly subscription. How long does warm-up take?
It depends on the domain and the target volume. Weeks rather than days is the honest answer, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something.
Do I need a tool like Lemwarm, Warmy, Mailreach or Instantly?
Not if you send through Meser10. Warm-up is included in the account rather than bought separately.
Does it work for a domain that already has a bad reputation?
Recovery is slower than a fresh start and sometimes a new subdomain is the better move. Tell us the domain and we will look at it.
Is list cleaning part of this?
It is a separate feature and it matters just as much. Warming a domain and then sending to a list full of dead addresses undoes the work.
